Don Giussani

Five years after his death last February 22, 2010, was the day when the whole Christian world is united in memory of Don Luigi Giussani, founder of Communion and Liberation Movement. In the words of Pope Benedict XVI, as stated in Deus Caritas Est, "Don Gius is always present among us through his teaching.

" Being Christian is not an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person . In this statement

papal encyclical, is enclosed by Giussani's thought which gave rise to its proposal of Christianity as an event that comes into line with the deeper structure of the human being, which is the heart. Before his death, Father Giussani called Don Julian Carron to share with him the responsibility to guide the movement. Following his birth in heaven, Don Carron became President and his successor. Today we are reminded of this:

" More and more we go forward and more and more we hear the father of Don Giussani, more and more we see what effect it has on our lives and this gives rise to gratitude to him. For this reason we want to celebrate this anniversary with a Mass, just to thank him for everything that continues to give us . "

Hvar we join in remembrance of those who taught us how to live Christianity, not as a rule, but as a witness in person! And that no cultural and social situation may change, so our steadfastness in the face of great suggestions of cultural relativism becomes the main task as Catholics and as human beings at the center of the polis.
